Vice President, Engineering Lead Design Center-Farmington at Otis leading a critical part of the global engineering footprint, providing a wide range of new product development activities in increasingly-connected, smart, vertical mobility platforms. I was previously with L3Harris where I led multi-disciplinary, embedded-software-focused design teams in innovative research and new product development and where I was recognized for my significant technical contributions as 2014 L3 Engineer of the Year and 2011 New Hampshire Engineer of the Year.
As past president of the IEEE Computer Society, I had the privilege to lead a strong volunteer leadership team. I am now serving on the TAB Strategic Planning Committee, IEEE Industry Engagement Committee, IEEE Foundation Ad-Hoc, and as a mentor for several IEEE WIE Summits.,During my 25 years of IEEE leadership, I have served as a director of the IEEE Foundation, 1st VP Computer Society, served a three-year term on the Computer Society Board of Governors, founded and led the first five years of the IEEE Women in Engineering International Leadership Conference (WIE ILC), served as Women in Engineering International Chair for which I received the 2014 Larry K Wilson Transnational Award for distinguished contributions to IEEE global activities, served on the Eta Kappa Nu Board of Governors and have been IEEE-USA VP of Communications & Public Awareness.
Outside of IEEE, I am active with Toastmasters (Toastmasters of Manchester, Amoskeag Better Communicators and Millyard Toastmasters) and am active as a tournament organizer and Senior Tournament Director for the United States Chess Federation.
I received my MS Computer Engineering (1998), BS Electrical Engineering (1995) and BS Mathematics (1995) from Southern Methodist University in Dallas.
